India’s Omicron variant cases on Sunday rose to 21. This was after Delhi and Rajasthan reported its first cases. Meanwhile, Maharashtra also added seven more cases of the new variant. The horror of the increasing Covid-19 cases tends to keep accelerating.
Delhi with one, Maharashtra with seven and Rajasthan with one case of omicron variant has added to India’s Omicron tally. This has put an alert to the people across the globe.
According to sources, So far, Omicron variant cases have been reported in Karnataka, Gujarat, Delhi, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
According to the health ministry, Along with the new variant, India, registered 8,895 new Covid cases and 2,796 deaths in the last 24 hours. The highest number of daily deaths were reported in Bihar with 2,426 fatalities.
Sources say, on Sunday, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain confirmed the first case of the Omicron variant of coronavirus in Delhi.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan also registered its first Omicron variant cases. The case was detected after nine people of a family who came to the state from South Africa tested positive in Jaipur.
Added to that, Maharashtra also added seven more cases to its Omicron variant tally on Sunday. Of the fresh cases, seven were recorded in Pimpri-Chinchwad and Pune.
